Community Treatment and Care Services (CTAC) deliver dedicated clinical care for patients registered at South Queensferry Medical Practice. Some routine care that was previously managed directly by general practice doctors is now delivered by specialist community treatment room teams.

When you phone, the team will ask for details about your request to book you into the most appropriate clinic time and location.

Important information for your appointment
- Referrals: Some specialist procedures (such as Doppler assessments or specific catheter management) may require a referral from your doctor or another healthcare professional before booking.
- Ear care: If you are attending for ear irrigation, please follow the advice given by your healthcare team regarding ear drops prior to your appointment.
- Housebound patients: If you are unable to leave your home due to a medical condition, please contact the practice directly so home visit care can be arranged.
Across NHS Scotland, a wide range of healthcare professionals work together to provide care closer to home. Depending on your needs, you may be directed to a community-based service rather than needing an appointment with a GP or attending hospital.
