In order to keep our paper use to a minimum and to give patients direct access to their repeat prescriptions, we are changing our system for requesting prescriptions.
Over the coming weeks we are launching a new website and switching to Patient Services online prescription ordering and terminating both the website and email prescription ordering process.
Patient Services is an online prescription ordering service for patients aged 16 and over and is your personal on line account which links you to South Queensferry Medical Practice. You can select prescribed medications direct from your repeat list on your medical record at a time convenient to you, day or night. All we need is an individual email address and you will receive further instructions by email on how to complete your registration and get logged on. The process when ordering is secure, easier and more accurate as the system will enable you to simply select what you need from your own current list of repeat medications or add a request for items not listed.
To register for this online service please print and complete the Patient Services Registration Form and either hand into reception or scan and email to email@example.com adding 'Patient Services' to the subject line of your email and on receipt we will create an online account for this more accessible, accurate and convenient prescription ordering service. (Please note when sending personal data via an unencrypted email this is unsecure and could expose you to data hacking.)
For patients under 16 or those who do not have access to a computer please submit the tear-off slip from the printed prescription or submit your request in writing including your name and date of birth to the surgery. Another option for requesting prescriptions is to speak with your community pharmacy to check if they offer a Managed Prescription Service.
You can continue to use the website and email ordering of prescriptions until 31st August 2021.

In order to minimise traffic and to avoid you visiting both the practice and a pharmacy. When submitting your prescription request can you please indicate which local pharmacy you would prefer your prescription to be sent to for pick up.

WE DO NOT TAKE PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE TELEPHONE
Prescriptions require 3 working days to be processed and signed before collection. These may take a further 2 days at the pharmacy to be processed so please order your medication in plenty of time.
Same day requests for repeat prescriptions will only be completed by exception.
