Minor Injuries Assessment

NHS Lothian are now offering a Minor Injury Assessment by video call in your own home.  Their aim is to provide timely assessments, advice and treatment for patients.

Calling the number 07977 246848, patients will be offered an appointment for a private, secure and confidential video call assessment which they access via a link that opens a live chat with one of the Minor Injury Unit team.  Lines are open from 11am until 7pm. 

Types of injuries suitable for Call MIA:

  • strains, sprains and suspected broken bones
  • wounds and burns
  • musculoskeletal conditions (joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, tendons)
