COPD is breathtaking. Literally.
COPD can be treated, but only if you know you’ve got it.
COPD stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, an umbrella term for conditions including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It leads to damaged airways in the lungs, causing them to become narrower and making it harder to breathe in and out.
Left alone, it goes on getting worse.
If you take action you can treat it.
You could be at risk if you:
· Are breathless
· Have a persistent cough
· Have lots of phlegm
If this is you, or someone you know, ask for an appointment with Dr Leckie to give you a simple lung test. It takes 10 minutes, and it could change your life.
